Jim has been active in the film and TV industry in the UK for over 21 years starting work as a Camera Assistant on documentaries for the BBC and Discovery Channel, where he got his first taste of working abroad. Moving on to working as a Focus Puller for 10 years on commercials for clients such as Guinness, Seagrams, British Airways, Mercedes, FCUK and Royal Caribbean International.

Jim was Focus Puller on the international hit film ‘Bend It Like Beckham’. He also worked on the commercial for ‘Web MD’, which aired at half-time of the Superbowl.

Jim has been Director of Photography for 8 years and has been based in Kenya for 5 years, involved in shooting and training local crew in Camera/Lighting on ‘Makutano Junction’.

He has directed and shot commercials for Safaricom, Naivas, Glade, Shinda Smart and Kenya Airways and is passionate about using the camera as a story telling tool. He shot 3 feature length projects in 2011 including one in Nigeria, which was the first feature project for The Audrey Silva Company; a production company set up by Nollywood star Rita Dominic & director Mildred Okwo. 2012 has been a year of tvc's including more directing for CCK, Safaricom, Crown Paint & Barclays Bank. He is an easy going team leader in a hands-on way and believes in giving 110% in whatever he does.

Daniel W. Kent
DIT, Film Editor, Visual Effects Artist, Colorist

After years of apprenticeship and working in the fast paced post facilities of Soho in London in the mid to late 90’s working on projects for the BBC, Channel 4, MTV, Al Jazeera. 

Daniel moved to the United States and setup a boutique creative firm specializing in post-production and interactive services.

His creative, technical and consultancy experience in the post production and interactive media industries led him to work on numerous projects from full length features, commercials and Interactive projects for clients such as Intel, Audi, CNN, Nike, Microsoft and a number of government and advertising agencies.

During this time he also freelanced as application engineer for an Autodesk reseller specializing in compositing and 3D creative pipelines and facilitated the design and infrastructure setup of a number of film, advertising and vfx companies.

Daniel moved to Kenya in 2011 and in this emerging market has worked on numerous documentaries, short and full length features, commercials and consulted on a number of productions for clients such as Google, Safaricom, M-Net, Filmaid, United Nations, Post Bank, Samsung, Aga Khan Foundation to name a few, covering all areas of the post production process from pre-production planning, post supervision, DIT, conform, film editorial, visual effects, grading and audio mastering. 

Daniel has an unwaivering commitment to quality and client, with a measure twice, cut once philosophy to all things.
